Description

This is a blank panel and a frame to mount it into an Apache 2800 case from Harbor Freight.  I made this as part of a cyberdeck build and ended up making a blank version to publish hoping it could be helpful to others.  It's a great starting point if you want to build electronics into a cheap HF case.

The files are in Freecad, so feel free to place whatever cutouts you want in the panel before printing it.  I'll be uploading my own build shortly as a different project.

The frame takes M3x4 inserts, and the panel is meant to be used with 10 M3 screws (probably overkill).

Getting it installed can be a little tricky.  I used epoxy to glue the frame into the apache case at the desired height while the front panel was attached, fixturing it place can be a bit challenging.  Also it's not a Perfect fit, so there were places where Epoxy also filled small gaps.  I have a P2S so I had to cut both the frame and panel to get them to print on my plate, which is maybe a little more forgiving in terms of fitting it into a case that I'm sure isn't held to high precision standards.

edit: fixed typos
