Riser Add-on for IKEA SAMLA top cover
Print Profile(0)
Description
This is a Riser Extension for the Snapmaker U1 Ikea Samla lid fittings LOW FILAMENT.
The original low-filament clips provide a great seal, but for long prints or materials like PLA the internal chamber can get too hot. This riser creates a gap to prevent overheating and heat creep by allowing hot air to escape, while still acting as a protective cover against dust or objects falling into the printer.
Key Improvements:
- Thermal Management: Lifts the Samla bin just enough to let trapped heat escape, which is essential for printing PLA without issues.
- For PLA / PETG: Use the risers to keep the chamber cool, prevent heat creep, and stop the nozzle from clogging.
- For ABS / ASA: Simply pull the risers out and place the Samla bin directly onto the U1 using just the original fittings. This seals the chamber to trap the heat needed to prevent warping.
- No Modification Required: Unlike other solutions, this riser is designed to fit directly onto the original silicone inserts on the Snapmaker U1. No need to keep them safe and possibly lose them.
- Vibration Dampening: By keeping the factory silicone inserts in place, the riser maintains a cushioned interface which may help in reducing noise and vibrations compared to hard-plastic-on-metal contact.
