Audi A3 8L (FL) Blende f. Pioneer AVH-Z7200DAB

This bezel solves the problem of side gaps when installing a Pioneer AVH-Z7200DAB in the Audi A3 8L Facelift

The Problem & the Solution

• The Problem: The original, glossy trim frame from Pioneer is narrower than the slot in the Audi dashboard. This leads to unsightly gaps. Universal bezels often fit poorly or block the display's folding mechanism
• The Solution: This printed adapter serves as a precisely fitting mount for the original Pioneer frame. The glossy frame is simply inserted into this print and installed as a single unit
• The Result: The gaps are filled and the monitor can extend freely

Project Background

• Developed out of necessity: Since no commercially available bezel fit, I designed this solution for my own A3 8L
• File Status: Since the CAD source data is no longer available after a data loss, only the final STL file is currently available. Should I find the data again, I will further optimize the model based on your feedback

Post-processing Note

As this is my first creation, only the inner retaining nubs, into which the Pioneer frame is inserted, may need slight post-processing (filing or sanding). Depending on printer tolerances, these may be a bit tight. Once the nubs are adjusted, the frame will sit securely
