Description

Update 4-28-26 I have updated the geometry of the magwell to be closer to the original adapter, as well as modeled new internals. The internals are working well in the updated model, and seem to work just as well in both the original mag adapter and existing models so there shouldn't be a need to reprint.

A remix of RedCowl's flared magwell** for the X Shot Longshot that adds a thumbhole style connecting to the main grip. I found this to greatly increase rigidity of the blaster while still allowing for XShot or Talon geometry magazines.

As with the original, this will require a total of 5 Nerf “toy screws” to assemble, and you will need to either remove the internals from the magazine adapter that came with the blaster OR print a set- I have started using my own internals to address some accuracy concerns: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2731119-x-shot-longshot-half-dart-adapter-internals-oni#profileId-3026979

Prints with the inside UP, which will require supports. The resulting surface will be hidden inside the blaster and is not an issue cosmetically. Once printed, assemble the internals and the four screws on the magwell. Insert into the blaster while spreading the ends that attach to the grip so that they slide over the “sling mount”, and once seated install the remaining screw. Some minimal sanding or filing might be needed depending on your blaster- I have fit this quite tightly to the grip profile and should not be sloppy.

Open to feedback, and will post any updates as they come about.

Just printed this, it's quite tight so inserting and removing mags became significantly harder

Ah that's a bummer, would you tell me which magazines you're using? Are you using printed internals or injected?

I'm using the included mag and Talons, and I also use both printed and injected internals, injected locks and printed slide. I think after using the recommended settings, the lock bumps into the wall and stuck there making it hard to use the mag release

I’d suggest useing a file to file out the inside. for other magazines I’ve. printed useing a file works well

could you make it a1 mini compatible

I can certainly look into it- I believe each half should fit fine, but I'll confirm the dimensions and see what I can do.

thank you so much, I just feel like some creators just don’t cater towards the people who don’t own a desktop or a non budget printer to be able to model or do things themselves and it’s nice to find people who care for the a1 mini users

nice, hopefully someone can model the internals too so we can assemble a full thing

You will find in the model description that I've linked to the printed internals I used.

Had this idea for quite a while now but didn't know how to do CAD, didn't expect someone else to have the same idea!

Also, what print settings do you recommend?

Should be fine at .2 layer height, 3 walls, 15% infill

for a second I thought it blocked the magazine slot so you can breach load one dart at a time

Nope! But an interesting idea with the little door they built in.

You can use either the half dart magazine that came with the blaster in the US, or any magazine with Worker Talon geometry. If you got these in AUS or some other country that only shipped with full length darts, you will most likely want to go with Talon mags as they are typically more available in hobby shops.
