Description

I designed this Eurorack case in Freecad (file included), to be used in your studio. It's 4 rows 3U and 84HP in width. I've added the original Freecad file so you can edit it yourself and make it wider, add rows, etc.

To house a PSU and some busboards, I've added some slots in the back of the case and there are also models included for the PSU board and busboard plates. I've screwed two Meanwell RT65B PSU's to the PSU board, the holes provided match the PSU's bottom holes. You can use some M3 bolts of just some wood screws for that. For the bus boards I've used some ModularSynthLab busboards, but again if you use something else, edit the Freecad file and add holes to match you own busboard. I've also added a hole on the left side for a IEC C14 socket/switch.

I've printed it in Elegoo PETG-CF with 10% Gyroid infill, it's really sturdy. But if you make it taller, wider, etc, please test this before printing the entire thing. I also enabled supports to make sure the dowel holes and dowels themselves don't get screwed up and that they still fit correctly. After printing, connect all the parts, add your own eurorack aluminum rails and threaded inserts, some M5 bolts to fix those rails to the case from the side and you're set. It took me about full day of printing on my Elegoo Centauri Carbon and I used between 900 and 1000gr of filament. Still cheaper than buying a case though :)

PS: The case does not have a back panel. I did this on purpose for a couple of reasons, but the main ones are that it's a lot easier to plug everything in or re-arrange modules that way and it will also help with cooling if you have powerful PSU's. But again, if you really need a back panel, open the freecad file and add one :)

PS2: If you want do a test fit or something like that, just print the side cheeks and add your rails.
