Creative Inspiration
- As a shoe accessory for frequent movement, stability is paramount. While fancy designs are appealing, if damaged, broken parts could even injure the user, which is the primary concern to avoid
- For stability, the number of finished parts must be kept to a minimum, ideally with an all-in-one design. The weight should be as light as possible to avoid burdening the user, thus requiring lightning infill. The installation method should be as secure as possible to prevent falling off
- Ultimately, the idea of an animal head holding an ornament was chosen. The animal's mouth and the bottom form a three-point fixation, securely fixing the shoe ornament using the shoe's own fastening method (shoelaces). I believe other clip-on designs would not be suitable
- To meet personalization needs, relatively simple hand painting is an excellent method. By choosing filament and acrylic paint colors, you can create your Bengal tiger or white tiger look. Continuing the original model's segmented eye design significantly reduces the difficulty of hand painting (the eyes are the most important part)
Printing & Filament Instructions
- The head sculpt has a flat hole in the mouth and a 45-degree shoelace hole at the bottom, both have been tested to allow shoelaces to pass through easily
- The main body uses lightning infill to save material and improve printing efficiency. Do not change unless necessary
- Filament recommendations: Main body (PLA Matte White), Eyes (PLA Ice Blue)
Support Removal & Installation Instructions
- The support area is small, making support removal not difficult. Pull out the supports directly by applying vertical force along the support surface direction
- Be sure to install the eyes only after painting the eye sockets and eyes. It is recommended to use Blu Tack for semi-permanent adhesion (not super glue, to prevent incorrect bonding)
Painting Instructions & Suggestions
- The most important part is painting the eyes, which is why one-piece printing is not provided. Painting one-piece printed eyes is very difficult and not recommended; after separation, the difficulty is moderate to low
- The hair texture painting can be done freely, as natural animal textures are inherently quite random
- Painting order:
- Eyeballs (Important!): Dot the pupils. It is recommended to hold both eyeballs with your fingers simultaneously and draw pupils of the same size along the circular layer lines
- Eye sockets: Use a light gray pen tip to fill the eye sockets in a circle, then use black to create a phoenix eye effect
- Nose tip: Apply an appropriate amount of pink paint, then lightly outline with a black pen, including coloring the nostrils black with the pen tip
- Lips: Just use a black pen to fill the entire seam
- Other fur: You can refer to real white tiger pictures and my uploaded images for free creation
