Cover for Mercedes Vito/Viano/V-Class seat rails.

A lot of dirt collects in the seat rails, and many commercial covers break quite quickly; I haven't found a good option from Mercedes. I have created a cover that is simply inserted into the rail and held in place by friction.

The file has a print height of 25cm; smaller printers can adjust the height in the slicer, and the function will not be impaired.

Tips:

  • One file corresponds to 2x 25cm, which support each other
  • Brim recommended
  • ABS/ABS-GF and ASA/ASA-CF work very well on textured PEI
  • PLA and PETG break somewhat faster when removed
  • Fuzzy skin on the top provides grip and conceals scratches
  • Fuzzy skin on the contact surfaces causes too much friction
  • First print a test piece to check dimensional accuracy
  • Single use: with infill, Multiple use: Solid printed
  • Best filament: PAHT-CF

CAD dimensions do not always match print results. Fuzzy skin, nozzle size, and filament can cause variations
