Description

Bring a touch of eternal spring to your home with this modular, artistically designed Bonsai. This model isn't just a print; it’s a creative project that allows you to "grow" and style your own unique tree.

Key Features:

  • Fully Customizable: Each leaf and blossom features a 3,3mm/4mm center hole, allowing you to hang them freely on the branch tips. No two trees will ever look the same!
  • Advanced Layer-Blending Technique: Achieve a stunning cherry blossom effect without needing specific pink filament. By printing the blossoms with two layers of White and one layer of Red, the colors bleed together to create a delicate, translucent pink hue.
  • Professional Textures: The trunk and base were meticulously crafted using Autodesk Fusion, Meshmixer, and the Formlabs Texture Engine to achieve a realistic, organic wood feel that contrasts beautifully with the geometric pot.

Printing & Assembly:

  • Support Management: The main trunk and branches require supports. I have optimized the settings for easy removal, but caution is advised.
  • Pro Tip: Use a small filament cutter or snips to carefully clip each support branch individually
  • to avoid putting stress on the delicate organic branches.
  • Assembly: For a permanent display, a small amount of superglue (CA glue) is required to secure the soil, trunk, and pot together.
  • Print Profile: The included 3MF file is pre-configured with the optimal orientation and layer settings for the blossom color-blending.
  • Material: All the parts were printed using different colors of matte Bambu Lab PLA. For the stone-look pot, I used Overture Rock PLA Fossil. I love this color gradient. Use whatever colors you have on hand.

I’d love it if you’d upload photos of your creations.

🚀 Support the Journey – Boost this Project! Developing this modular Bonsai was a labor of love. I’ve spent countless hours and went through several spools of filament to fine-tune the textures, the assembly tolerances, and the unique color-blending effect for the blossoms. If you appreciate the effort that goes into creating a truly "ready-to-print" and support-optimized artistic model, please consider giving it a Boost! Your support directly helps me to cover the material costs for future p
