Mazda 3 Speaker Adapter - High-Performance Fit

Overview

I designed this custom speaker adapter for a friend who was upgrading the audio system in their Mazda 3. They wanted to swap out the factory units for high-quality Hertz speakers, but the standard mounting holes never quite line up. This bracket bridges that gap perfectly, ensuring a solid, rattle-free installation for the front doors. If you are looking to level up your car audio game, this is a must-have.

⚙️ Print Settings

Since car interiors can get extremely hot in the summer, I highly recommend printing these in ASA or PETG. I used 4 walls and 40% infill to make sure the adapter is rigid enough to handle the vibrations and weight of the speaker magnet. Best of all, it prints flat on the bed with no supports required.

⚙️ Assembly

Simply bolt the adapter to the factory mounting points on the door panel using the original hardware. Then, screw your aftermarket Hertz speakers directly into the pre-aligned holes on the bracket. I used a small strip of foam tape between the bracket and the door for an airtight seal and even better sound quality.
