Avios Twin Otter 2-Blade Prop Adapter - Gemfan 9x6

This is a great alternative when original Avios propellers are unavailable.
The 2-blade setup is efficient, lightweight, and works well on 4S setups.

Description

This is a custom 2-blade propeller adapter for the Avios Twin Otter, designed to replace unavailable stock 3-blade props.

The adapter allows you to use Gemfan 9x6 CW and CCW propellers, which are widely available, affordable, and high quality.

I designed this after a mid-air collision and the lack of original replacement propellers.

Features

• Compatible with Gemfan 9x6 2-blade (CW + CCW)
• Includes two nose cone versions:
  • Small cone
  • Large cone
• Can be printed:
  • Single color
  • Dual color (for better scale look)
• Clean fit for twin motor setup

Printing

• Recommended: ABS but other materials like PLA/PETG/ASA should do :)
• Tree supports required
• No special settings otherwise

🔩 Hardware required

• 2× washers (6mm inner diameter)
• 2× screws M2 x 8mm (SHCS)

Assembly is simple and straightforward.

🔮 Future updates

I plan to add a version compatible with:

• HQProp 9050 3-blade

Note: these require enlarging the center hole from 5mm to 6mm.

I’ve also included a front landing gear mount design in this project.

This can be useful if your original wooden mounting plate gets damaged or worn out and needs replacement.

It’s a simple drop-in solution to restore the nose gear mounting without rebuilding the internal structure.
