Description
EXTENSION CORD WINDER FOR EMPTY BAMBU SPOOL
With this simple solution, you can reuse, without damaging it, the original Bambu Spool once the filament is exhausted, transforming it into a practical and robust extension cord winder
Simple, robust, functional, easy to print, assemble, and disassemble (see assembly instructions)
You can use any extension cord you already own, up to approximately 15 meters in length (depending on the electrical cable's diameter, MAX diameter 8mm), and you won't need to make any cuts or splices. Neither the extension cord nor the original Bambu Spool will undergo any modifications, and both will be reusable once disassembled
In the model:
PERFORATED CONNECTOR: Perfectly connects the 2 parts of the original spool, providing a hole for the electrical cable to pass through
CENTRAL WHEEL: Fits into the connector, allowing it to rotate freely on a central pivot
ROTATING HANDLE: Screws onto the original spool with 2 M3 12mm screws in the existing holes, allowing for easy manual rotation of the spool on the central pivot. It prints in a single piece. Once printed, simply rotate the piece slightly to break the small sacrificial connections, and it will begin to rotate freely
CENTRAL PIVOT: Connects the rotating spool to the table stand or the main handle
TABLE STAND: Supports the entire system, allowing it to be placed stably on a flat surface
MAIN HANDLE WITH PIVOT: Allows you to unwind and rewind the electrical cable on the spool while comfortably and securely holding the entire system
ANTI-ROLL BASE: Screws onto the original spool with 2 M3 12mm screws in the existing holes, providing a flat base that prevents the spool from rolling during use
FRONT CAP: Closes the front hole, allowing the electrical cable's plug to pass through
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

1 Insert the central wheel into the perforated connector by simply pressing it in the indicated direction and across its entire width

2 Connect the connector to the rear part of the original Bambu Spool

3 Insert the rotating handle onto the front part of the spool, from above, and screw it with 2 M3 12mm screws into the existing holes on the original Bambu Spool

4 Insert the anti-roll base onto the front part of the spool, from below, and screw it with 2 M3 12mm screws into the existing holes on the original Bambu Spool
5 Insert the front cap simply by pressing it, passing the electrical cable's plug through the appropriate slot

6 Connect the front part of the original Bambu Spool, ensuring that the electrical cable's plug passes through the central hole of the spool and the electrical cable passes through the dedicated hole in the connector. Gently pull the electrical cable from the inside to position the plug correctly on the outside, then wind the cable onto the spool

7 Insert the toothed central pivot into the central wheel from the shorter side, 19 mm, and insert it into the table stand from the longer side, 20mm

8 If you prefer to firmly hold the entire system while unwinding and rewinding the cable, insert the main handle into the central hole
I designed the connector to create a hole in the original spool without damaging it, but I later realized that it can also work very well as a simple spool extender, allowing you to widen it as desired. If you are interested in such a solution, please let me know your desired measurements in mm, and I will be happy to accommodate you
All my designs are printed and tested multiple times before publication. The parts are positioned on the print bed, and supports (only if necessary) are manually designed to minimize material waste, always prioritizing the quality of the printed part.
