Description

I created this protective housing specifically for the TP-Link Tapo D235, and it should work for the Tapo D210 as well.

This is my very first design on MakerWorld, so I'm happy to finally share it with you all.

The goal was to fix two main problems:

  1. Theft: It covers the release points of the original mount, so it's much harder for someone to just grab the doorbell and run.
  2. Weather: The top hood helps keep rain off the lens and cuts down on sun glare for a better picture.

The lens (180° FOV) and the motion sensor are completely clear, so it doesn't interfere with the camera at all. I recommend printing this in PETG to make sure it handles the sun and rain without warping.

Credits & Attribution This design is a remix based on the work by meverett87 on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7287106.

I modified the original structure to improve the anti-theft fit for the D235 model.
