THE MODEL :

Embody the spectacular fusion of East and West with this Baroque-inspired Oni mask. This unique creation reimagines the traditional Japanese demon: fierce features and horns emerge from intricate openwork scrollwork and classical floral patterns. It is the ultimate accessory for high-end themed masquerades, dark mythical creature cosplay, or to be displayed as a striking piece of neo-Gothic wall art.

Proven print settings :

• Material : Matte Black PLA (achieves a high-end blackened iron or carved leather finish).
• Infill : 15-20% (crucial for the structural integrity of the horns).
• Supports : Necessary for the complex overhanging scrolls.
• Nozzle : 0.4 mm.

Maker's Tip : This mask features many fine details. A slower print speed is recommended to capture the full complexity of the scrolls. Pair it with black satin ribbons for an elegant fastening and an extra touch of enigmatic flair.

INFORMATION:

A common question is: why do these prints require supports when they could be printed lying flat?

For my designs, I deliberately choose to print them standing upright rather than flat, in order to achieve the best possible level of detail. I prioritize visual quality over saving a few grams of filament.

Of course, you are free to change the print orientation in your slicer if you prefer.
