Description

I designed this 3D printed alternative to the Tilta Nucleus Nano Motor Adapter. It lets you mount a Nucleus Nano Motor to the Tilta Mirage 95mm Variable ND Module via a 15mm rod, so you can wirelessly control your VND density using the Nucleus Nano Hand Wheel or any compatible Nucleus Series controller. The original Tilta part retails for ~$29 - this version requires only a handful of common screws and some filament.

Works with the Tilta Mirage 95mm Variable ND Module and the Nucleus Nano Motor. Designed to integrate with the Nucleus Series wireless lens control ecosystem.

You'll need 2× M3 screws to attach it to the filter module and 4× M2 screws for the gears and cover assembly (I used M2x7 leftover screws from DJI Avata propellers). Check the included exploded assembly diagram for exact screw placement.

The only finicky part to instal can be the cover as it comes last after the gears are in place. But it is not necessary for the function and can be considered optional.

Tested and working fine in PLA (Used PLA-CF for looks). For the gear components, a 0.2mm nozzle is recommended for more precise tooth geometry and smoother engagement, though a standard 0.4mm nozzle will also do fine. I placed the gear parts on a separate plate so you can print it with different nozzle than the main body and cover - those are not necessary to be so detailed and you can enjoy faster printing with 0.4 nozzle.

Also check out my other model, which is fully manual and does not require the Nucleus system.
