Highlighted design features of the model

The butterfly hair accessory is designed inspired by the elements of butterfly wings. It resembles a butterfly resting on the hair. By leveraging the varying light transmittance of different layers, a certain sense of layering is achieved. The entire piece only requires 9 grams of printing material, making it easy to print. The assembly is straightforward and no glue is needed.

Printing setting suggestions

To achieve the best display effect, it is recommended to refer to the following settings:

Printing Consumables: PTEG

Layer Height: 0.1mm for the first layer, and 0.2mm for subsequent layers (this strikes a good balance between printing efficiency and detail performance. Variable layer height is selected for the wings)

Fill Rate: The default (15% - 20%) can meet the strength requirements.

Support: Support needs to be enabled. It is recommended to use "tree - like support" for easy disassembly and to protect the wing surface.

Made this for my niece, it seems really fragile but is actually fairly sturdy. I used a butene torch to remove some stranding that occurred and it started warping the wing. I just kinda embraced it, and it let me curve the wings and even let me bond the top and bottom wings together to give it strength. As Bob Ross said "Happy Accident". Used a Translucent Blue with original intent on adding thinned paint.

Thanks for the feedback. The deformation caused by the fire makes it more vivid. I think you can try more other bending effects. It will be interesting.

very cute ! I printed it in translucent PETG 😊 I had a failed spaghetti first print, but I think it was a mistake on me (maybe filament just not dry enough or the plate not quite clean...? ) but then it worked ! I also had a hard time getting the small wings in... almost broke them but ended up succeeding! sorry for the bad quality photo, I struggled to take a good pic ahah

very beautiful hairpin, but there is a point, it holds quite mediocrely, I will wear it, I hope it will not fall off, I wanted to improve the grip. but I used PLA, maybe with the use of pa, the grip is better

Maybe the tolerance I set is too small to ensure it doesn't fall off

Might just be me. Struggling to get the smaller wings into place. Suggestions?
