Forest Terrors
The wilderness is never truly safe. Beneath the canopy of ancient forests, predators stalk silently, webs wait between trees, and massive beasts claim territory through strength alone. Forest Terrors brings together four classic monsters that represent the dangers of traveling through untamed lands.
This encounter set focuses on creatures that DMs can easily drop into travel encounters, forest adventures, or wilderness survival scenarios.
Included Creatures:
Owlbear - A brutal apex predator feared by hunters and adventurers alike. Perfect as a wilderness boss encounter or territorial threat guarding a forest region.
Dire Wolf - Fast, intelligent pack hunters that excel at tracking prey. Ideal for ambush encounters, night attacks, or companions to tribal enemies.
Ettercap - A cunning forest lurker that uses webs and traps to control territory. Excellent for tactical encounters involving terrain hazards and controlled battle spaces.
Giant Spider - A silent ambush predator that turns forests into deadly hunting grounds. Works perfectly for surprise attacks, difficult terrain encounters, or dungeon entrances.
