Design created for use with the Xberry-Pi Issue 4G board model and dedicated to its creator Don Superfo and his entire community
This case is inspired by the design of the ZX Spectrum Plus. The top and bottom parts are 3D Printed in a single piece, requiring a 3D printer that handles large volumes
The bottom part laterally features three cavities designed to accommodate buttons for NMI, Reset, and Drive. The Xberry-Pi is housed in the bottom part, secured with M2 inserts and their corresponding screws Additionally, it also includes a space to house a MicroSD extender, which is secured in the same way The front features an output to house a DB9 for a joystick
On the top part, the logos are printed on the same layer except for the rainbow which is printed separately and needs to be glued
On the bottom part, some Round Feet will be glued, which can be placed with the help of a small tool I designed to facilitate this task This design includes some Support Legs with small rubber pieces and their corresponding Springs inspired by the original
For the keyboard, I used a PCB designed by Don Superfo using Cherry MX mechanical switches and their corresponding keys or keycaps This PCB is secured to the case with M2 inserts and screws
Finally, to secure both parts of the case together, I used M2.6x8 plastic screws
And that's all 😎
