As a small transfer pump, I implemented an existing diaphragm pump with a simple motor speed controller as a mobile 18V solution using Einhell batteries

R385 12V Diaphragm Pump

1203BB DC Motor Speed Controller

Besides the pump and controller, you also need for the electrical connection

  • 2 flat connectors with 6.3mm width and cable cross-section 0.5-1.5mm² (red version)
  • spare cables
  • optionally 2 Wago clamps (connection diagram or number of poles in the pictures, but I didn't need to use them with the screw terminals on the circuit board)

A 2mm EPDM foam cord can be inserted into the groove around the “pump shaft” as a seal. I sealed the cable pass-through from the pump to the electronics with hot glue

I fixed the flat connectors, which form the battery terminals, as well as the cables with hot glue in the lid

The housing is screwed together with 3x25 countersunk wood screws

Note: The pump is designed for 12V. I tested it with 18V and it works. However, I cannot comment on its lifespan at the higher voltage
