Hey guys! :)
Since we're slowly entering spring, I've decided to make some versatile accessory pieces that could easily transform your costumes for upcoming fairs and festivals. The first one of them is this enchanted elvish - fairy headpiece!
For this tiara, I was inspired by forehead bands made out of woven branches and leaves, but wanted to create more of a mystical and magic-infused look. I aimed for a design that has both elven and fairy elements, so it could be incorporated into various costumes, and I made it a multipart with two options: You can wear it with or without the front dangling piece.Â
Sizing:
- This design should be a bit loose on the head so it doesn't require very strict sizing, but the profile I've uploaded has a smaller diameter (the design is not a perfect circle) of 195 mm for a medium-sized tiara. Try increasing the smaller diameter only 10 mm up or down to achieve a size larger or smaller. Let me know how it goes! :)
Print Notes:
- Quality: 0.2 mm layers
- Strength: 3 walls, 0% Infill
- (Important) Speed: Lower the speed as much as possible! This design has very delicate parts that will fail absolutely if you rush the print. I've uploaded a slow profile with a 60 mm/s outer wall and 100 mm/s inner wall speed.Â
- (Important) Supports: Enable supports only for critical regions. However, to avoid failures caused by model imbalance mid-print, you should paint supports in these two areas (See the picture). It's already done for the print profile.

- Easy supports removal: Increase the Support/Object first layer gap to 0.28 mm
- Others: Allow for an outer brim of at least 5 mm for this print.
- Wait for the print to completely cool off before detaching it from the print bed, otherwise you might break some of the delicate parts of the model in the process.
I hope you enjoy it, and feel free to share your pics if you used this print in your costumes! Happy printing! :) đĽâ¨
