ARC Comet – A heavily armoured, spherical kamikaza machine

The ARC Comet is a heavily armoured, rotating sci-fi drone inspired by mechanical enemy designs from modern sci-fi games. It’s designed as a desk display model with a simple mechanical feature that allows the outer shells to rotate around the central core.

The model prints in three main parts and assembles using a rod that runs through the center section. Once assembled, the rod is glued into the outer shells, allowing both sides to rotate smoothly around the middle core.

This isn’t intended as a fidget toy, but the rotating mechanism adds a satisfying mechanical element that makes it fun to pick up and interact with while still looking great as a display piece.
