Description

Original Model on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6896217

This is a simple rack mount that centers the firewall in a standard 19 inch rack, leveraging the pre-existing mounting holes designed for the wall mount kit.

This rack mount differs from another one on Makerworld that doesn't fit on an A1 Mini build plate. This one does. In fact, both sides of the rack mount can be printed on a single plate. The two parts have been oriented to optimize print time.

While the bracket is 1U high, the actual height of the firewall is greater than 1U. As such, it's been designed so the rack unit is flush with the bottom of the firewall (small feet have to be removed first with a torx T10 bit) - and the extra height spills into the above rack unit. The firewall is offset backwards to allow room so that a blanking panel can still be used for the slot above.

As per images, you can fit any standard rack mount device under the firewall as it's flush to standard rack units. Above is more restrictive as the firewall domes at least 20mm above 1U height. As the sides of the 4200 are not perfectly straight (it tapers in slightly) - it's best to slightly bend the bracket then sinch down with cage nuts to keep the whole thing level.

The model was oriented such that the front of the bracket was on the build plate, as this is the only visible part once installed.
