GeckoGrid Core System — Tier 1 Pack
This file pack contains the core structural components used to build the GeckoGrid framework.
These parts form the foundation of the system and allow the grid to expand, change layout, and support different panels and accessories over time.
The structure is built using modular hubs connected by structural arms, creating a flexible grid that can grow in multiple directions. All structural components are designed for support-free printing, making the system accessible to most FDM printers.

What’s Included
This Tier 1 pack includes 3 separate print profiles:
1. Core Structural Parts
The main framework parts used to build the GeckoGrid base structure.
Included parts:
- Central 4-way hub
- Side 3-way hub
- 2-way inner corner hub
- 184 mm horizontal arm
- 164 mm vertical arm
These parts connect together to create the main GeckoGrid structure used to support panels, diffusers, and future accessories.
2. Plain Diffuser Set
This profile includes the matching plain 1-colour diffusers for the Tier 1 core parts.
Included diffusers:
- Central hub diffuser
- 3-way hub diffuser
- Corner hub diffuser
- 184 mm arm diffuser
- 164 mm arm diffuser
The diffusers are used to cover the open channels in the frame and help create a cleaner finished look. They can also be used as part of the LED-ready structure when adding lighting later.
3. Tier 1 Panel Set
This profile includes the first standard GeckoGrid panel collection.
Included panels:
- Standard size Skadis-style panel
- Standard cork board panel
- Standard size Kumiko Skadis panel
- Standard size EU spacing pegboard
- Standard size US spacing pegboard
These panels are designed to fit into the GeckoGrid frame and give the system different functions depending on the layout you want to build.
Hardware Required (Not Included)
Some standard hardware is required to assemble the system.
• M4 flat head screws (10 mm recommended)
• optional M4 heat inserts for frequently swapped panels

• wall anchors depending on the mounting surface

Optional components:
• LED strip (up to 8 mm wide) for integrated lighting

• power supply for LED strips
Basic Assembly
Before starting assembly, work out how many parts you need for your layout. You can do this by using the GeckoGrid Layout Planner, or by measuring your available space and planning the grid manually.
The exact mounting method will depend on your setup and the hardware you choose to use.
For the easiest installation, especially when using sticky pads, suction cups, or other removable mounting hardware, it is recommended to first build the frame on a flat surface. Once the frame is assembled, install the mounting hardware onto the hubs, then position the full frame onto the wall or chosen surface.
If you are using screws or wall anchors, you can also mount the frame directly to the wall and secure the hubs in place as you build.
Once the frame is mounted, install the panels as needed using M4 flat head screws.
If you want to add lighting, place the LED strip into the dedicated channel, or run it along the inside of the frame behind the panels depending on the effect you want. After the LEDs or cables are in place, clip on the diffusers for a cleaner finished look.
The grid can be expanded at any time by adding more hubs, arms, panels, diffusers, and accessories.
If using the freestanding legs, it is usually best to install the panels during assembly rather than leaving them until the end. Each added panel helps lock the structure together and makes the freestanding grid more stable as it is built.
