Wasteland Helper: The Multi-Utility Bot > HELPFUL WASTELAND ROBOT
Every survivor needs a hand (or three) when rebuilding the world. This is a stylized, chunky interpretation of the classic multi-utility floating robot , reimagined with the same friendly, "chibi-influenced" proportions as the rest of the Dwellers series.
From the glowing central eye to the iconic modular attachments, this model is designed to look just as good on a display shelf as it does on a tabletop gaming map.
Design Philosophy
- Painter Friendly: I designed this primarily for myself to print and paint. It features deep recesses and bold, readable surfaces that make edge-highlighting and metallic weathering a breeze.
- Workflow: Created using an AI-assisted image-to-3D workflow, then heavily refined to ensure the limbs and thruster assembly are structurally sound for physical handling.
- Series Compatibility: Scaled to fit perfectly alongside the "First Day Outside" survivor model for a complete diorama feel.
🖨️ PRINTING & ASSEMBLY NOTES
- Optimized for FDM: While the limbs are detailed, the geometry is optimized for clean extrusion in PLA or PETG.
- Support Care: EXTREME CAUTION is advised when removing supports around the fine tools (saw blade and pincer). Use flush cutters and wear eye protection—those small bits can fly!
- Scaling: Prints beautifully at 100%, but can be scaled up to 150% for a "boss-level" desk companion.
- Finishing: A coat of silver filler primer works wonders here to hide layer lines before you go in with your reds and yellows.
