Description
Safety switch for the commarker Omni1 X Z-axis tower.
After a broken motor due to lowering the tower too far down and a 2 week lead time to get the replacement from ComMarker, I decided to make a safety switch that shuts off the powe to the tower once it reaches the designated height and hits the button with the base of the platform.
*** Review the actual height of your unit to make sure it works, if not you will need to make sure the height works for you! The model can scaled down on the z-axis to shorten it or lengthen as needed. Make sure uniform scaling is disabled. ***
Needs these parts in order to make it work. Not sure if linking the amazon links are allowed or not.
- 5.5x2.5mm Barrel plug (male and female)
- Momentary Normally Closed Switch
The switch needs to be a NC (normally closed) switch for this to function.
The plug is a 5.5x2.5mm plug and works with the power cable.
Omni1 Cable → female plug → male plug to z-axis tower.
