MacBuddy – MagSafe Cable Holder for MacBook

MacBuddy is a small desk companion designed to keep your MagSafe laptop charging cable right where you need it.

Instead of your charging cable slipping behind the desk, MacBuddy holds the connector in place and keeps your workspace tidy.

Inspired by the iconic two-tone face seen in classic computer interfaces, MacBuddy adds a playful character to your desk while serving a practical purpose.

Included Versions

This project includes three different MacBuddy models:

MacBuddy Cable Holder

The main version holds your MagSafe charging cable so it stays accessible on your desk.

Perfect for keeping your laptop charger ready without the cable falling behind your workspace.

MacBuddy Keychain

A mini version of MacBuddy designed as a small keychain.

Great for backpacks, keys or simply as a small desk companion.

MacBuddy Waving

A fun waving desk buddy version of the character.

Perfect as a small decorative companion next to your laptop.

Optimized Print Layout

All three versions are arranged together on one build plate.

This layout allows you to print the Cable Holder, Keychain and Waving Buddy in a single print job, which is:

• the fastest way to print the complete set
• reduces unnecessary filament waste
• avoids multiple printer setups

This setup works especially well with the Bambu Lab H2C, where the entire set can be printed efficiently in one go.

Of course, you can also print each model separately if you only need a specific version.

Update – Choose Your Version

The Cable Holder now comes in two variants:

A solid version for quick printing, and a new weightable version with a hollow interior that can be filled with sand or metal for extra stability.

Both are included on separate build plates in the print profile.
