Mini Desert Truck CyberBrick
Here is my **first model designed for the CyberBrick ecosystem**
For this project, I wanted to offer something a little different from classic printed RC models. Rather than using the rack and pinion steering found on many models, I chose to develop **a different steering system**, combined with a **long-travel suspension**
Despite its compact size (**26 cm long**), this truck has approximately **20 mm of suspension travel**, allowing it to better absorb terrain irregularities and provide more realistic handling
To enhance realism, I also designed a **tubular chassis**, inspired by real desert trucks
This type of structure offers several advantages:
- **more rigidity**
- **a lighter structure**
- **less filament used**
After numerous propulsion tests, I finally opted for **two N20 motors reduced to 1000 rpm**
This configuration offers a **good compromise between speed and control**, making the model enjoyable to drive
Tires
It is now possible to print them in TPU (good results with 85A)
The model in the photo uses **Yeahrun 1.0" 50 mm diameter** tires, easily found online for **less than 5 €**
Required Parts
Most components are easy to find
Screws
- **M2** screws (various lengths)
Electronics
- **CyberBrick Advanced kit**
- **2 N20 motors (1000 rpm)**
- **cables for N20 motors**
- **the official CyberBrick controller**
Wheels
- tires **Yeahrun 1.0" (50 mm)** or the new printable tires
Printing
Recommended settings:
- layer height: **0.2 mm**
- material: **PLA / PLA+**
- supports: necessary for some parts
Design Goals
This model was designed to be:
- **easy to print**
- **easy to assemble**
- **lightweight**
- **fun to drive**
while maintaining a **realistic desert truck style**
