Simple Modular Road Set for Viessmann CarMotion

Project CarMotion Basic Set Oval

For my Viessmann CarMotion starter set, just like for my Märklin H0 layout, a permanent setup was out of the question due to lack of space. So I had the idea of a modular road set. This is the result. Have as much fun with it as I do.

The Basic Set Oval includes:

• Straight 180mm 
• Curve 90° 180mm outer radius
• Straight 100mm
• Straight 80mm
• Connecting clips 

• Magnet holders

   

Important notes on the Basic Road Set:

• Each module consists of a base module and a road module. 
• The self-adhesive magnetic tape (Viessmann 8429) is laid on the guide rails of the base module, see photos.
• Bend the magnetic tape downwards at the ends of the module (manufacturer's recommendation), see photos.
• The module transitions are generally critical and must be aligned with each other; trial and error is required here. If the track is dismantled and reassembled, the module transitions may also need to be re-adjusted.
• The magnet holders allow flexible use of the control magnets
• The magnet holders can be shortened if necessary

• The print profile is created for three-color printing black/grey/white; personally, I now prefer the grey road, so my test prints are grey/grey/white.
