Description
Hey All,
This is a simple mount made for the IKEA fiskbo range of picture frames, they are amazing as an option, especially because of the price. However, they can be a pain to mount, especially on a sloped ceiling as is my case. So I made a special clamping mount for them, that is very quick to print, and not too bad looking either (In my opinion). There are two variants, Plate 1 has no fuzzy skin, and Plate 2 has fuzzy skin. Both option print quickly, and work well in batch production (I have had no issue printing 16 at once for my frames).
They are to be installed with drywall screws, or wood screws if onto a wood wall (Just use whatever screw you would normally use on your mounting surface).
If you are intending to forgo the print profile, please orientate the mount so the countersink is facing down, for best strength and printability.
Print with PLA or PETG if your environment gets hot, and remember not to torque the screw to hell! The frames only weigh a few hundred grams, so even a minimal amount of screw torque will be far more than sufficient!
