Description

LEGOs-Compatible Gear Rack & Pinion Set

This model is a custom gear rack and gear set designed for LEGOz-style robotics and mechanical builds. It works great for creating linear motion systems such as sliding mechanisms, robot arms, elevators, or rack-and-pinion steering.

The racks include Technic-style pin holes so they can easily connect with beams, frames, and motors. The tooth profile is designed to mesh smoothly with standard gears for reliable motion.

Features:
• LEGOs-compatible pin holes
• Long gear racks for extended travel
• Smooth tooth profile for reliable gear meshing
• Perfect for robotics, engineering projects, and mechanical builds

Included Parts:
• Multiple rack lengths
• Matching gear pieces
• Optimized for 3D printing

Printing Tips:
• No supports required
• Print flat on the build plate
• 0.2 mm layer height recommended
• PLA or PETG works great

This set is great for robotics projects, STEM learning, and custom mechanical creations.

Bed Adhesion Issue:The pinion gears barely contact their bed on the first layer and fall off. Be careful using the the standard gold textured PEI sheet. I think the default (55c) bed temperature is a bit risky. 60c or even 65c could be better. Prints great using PETG as support interface and the gears run smoothly. Seperate the objects to allow the skip object feature. Turn on arachne to get the full shoulder detail on the pinion gear. Nice design
