Description
These kind of hooks are great helping tool when changing bicycle chains (replacement, repair, maintenance).
Normally these chain hooks are made of wire. But a 3D print could also hold the chain together. This is useful a when installing a chain link (quick link, missing link) or connecting the chain with a chain bolt tool.
This hook is 2.15 mm thick so it will fit for any bicycle chain.
Inner chain width:
- Single-speed 1/8″ (3.175 mm)
- Multi-speed chains
- 5 to 8 speeds 3/32″ (2.38 mm)
- 9 to 12 speeds 11/128″ (2.18 mm)
The radius is exactly the inner roller diameter of 7.8 mm to snap in and hold it in place.
The additional guide will help to snap it in. The large area with the holes is the finger grip to keep them clean.
I printed it with PETG because this material is more elastic comparing to PLA (except PLA Tough +).
