Instructions
“Download STL/CAD Files” on this model to access the “Template - Mount locking ring” as STEP or Fusion. Available are also parameterized Fusion-files for the official “Standing” mounts for you to use as an easy starting point.
If you design a standing base from scratch then make sure to include a 0.2mm vertical gap between the mount locking ring and the base to avoid friction when twist-locking. The mount locking mechanism has enough designed vertical tolerance that this gap can be entirely eliminated when twist-locked.
When you have designed your model, export it as STL. Open the published “Template” print profile in Bambu Studio, add a new plate and then click File → Import 3MF/STEP/STL in the menu and import the STL. This print profile has settings for suitable for wide circular overhangs with easily removed supports. If you have designed the mount as multiple parts, right-click the imported model and click Split → To parts to be able to choose different filament for the different parts.
