Description
Custom overhead switch panel designed for the interior of the Jeep Wrangler JK.
This panel allows you to install up to 6 switches for controlling auxiliary equipment such as:
- off-road lights
- light bars
- compressors
- radios
- winches
- other accessories
The design keeps the interior clean while placing the controls in an easy-to-reach location above the windshield.
Modular Design
The model consists of two separate parts:
- Main housing
- Front switch panel
The front panel is fully customizable.
You can easily modify it to fit your own needs:
- different switches
- USB ports
- voltmeters
- custom button layouts
- additional electronics
Simply edit the front plate in CAD and adapt the holes to your preferred components.
Mounting
The front panel is attached to the main body using M3 heat-set inserts and M3 screws.
Recommended hardware:
- M3 heat-set threaded inserts
- M3 screws
The main housing is mounted to the Jeep overhead console using automotive sealant.
This provides a strong hold while avoiding permanent modifications to the interior.
Wiring
Wiring is routed cleanly through the interior:
- Wires pass through the hole in the switch panel housing
- They should be placed in protective wire sleeving
- The wiring then routes into the factory opening near the rear-view mirror, where other wires already pass
This keeps the installation neat and hidden.
Recommended Print Materials
Because car interiors can reach high temperatures, it is recommended to print using:
- ASA
- ABS
- ASA-CF
- Nylon (PA)
PLA is not recommended for automotive interiors.
