Description

A large decorative D6 dice designed to be both fun to customize and practical to print.

 

This model lets you create anything from a classic oversized dice to a cleaner, more graphic version with square pips and flatter faces. It is designed as a No-AMS-friendly design, with the body and pips printed separately, so you can get a clean multi-color result without needing a multi-material printer.

 

The model was developed with printability in mind. The shape, pip system, and insert design are all made to work well as a large decorative print without the need for supports.

Good starting points

  • Want a rounder, softer dice? Increase edge_rounding_ratio
  • Want flatter faces and better printability? Increase face_clip_ratio
  • Want bigger, bolder pips? Increase pip_size_ratio
  • Want more spacing between pips? Increase pip_spacing_ratio
  • Want easier assembly? Use loose fit
  • Want a tighter fit? Use tight fit

Printing notes

  • Designed to print without support
  • Body and pips are printed separately
  • Inserts are intended to be glued in place - but can also be press-fitted using tight fit mode
  • Great for large decorative prints
  • A fit test is recommended before very doing large prints
