Part Overview / What is it?

A replacement for Dewalt part ‘N329083 Retainer-end Cap - Dewalt’

This is the cover to the bearing/counterweight on under the sanding pad. These can get worn out or stuck in old sanding pads. This is what keeps the soft center of the foam pads from contacting the spinning bearing and melting stuff :). 

Replacements can be found on Amazon & Ebay but they're ~$8 each. Best I can tell they're made of ABS.

Printing

Designed to print without supports, I had good luck with both 0.4mm and 0.2 nozzles. PLA examples do seem more prone to melting during very heavy sander use. So if you have a heavy hand, probably pick ABS or even something like polycarbonate.
