Hades and Cerberus – Classic Bust God of the Underworld

This bust depicts Hades, ruler of the underworld in Greek mythology, accompanied by his most faithful guardian: Cerberus.

The work combines highly recognizable iconographic elements: the royal crown, the god's stern face, and Cerberus's three heads emerging from the shoulder, symbolizing dominion over the underworld.

The bust is designed to function both as a decorative object and as a sculptural study, with clear volumes and details that enhance FDM printing, keeping the typical layering of 3D printing visible.

🛠️ Tips & Tricks (recommended print settings)

• Always clean the build plate with IPA or soap and water before printing
• Recommended layer height: 0.16 mm
  • superior quality on face surfaces and details
• For optimal results: use adaptive layers in areas of greater complexity
• Recommended supports: tree, gentle cold removal
• Post-production:
  • slight sanding on cut lines
  • primer spray for a “museum statue” effect
• Also perfect for painting: dry-brush or acrylics highlight reliefs with great results

⚠️ Tips for Optimal Printing

To achieve the best results with this model:

• Use correct temperatures for filament and bed and ensure the printer is well-calibrated before starting the print.

• This model requires a significant support structure: their removal can be challenging and requires patience.

• It is recommended to use modeling pliers or precision tools to remove supports in a controlled manner.

• Pay special attention to Cerberus's mouths, where very detailed teeth are present: work calmly to avoid damaging the teeth during support removal, always proceed with small and gradual movements, removing supports little by little.

• Small artifacts on overhangs are normal in FDM printing and can be improved with slight sanding or minor manual finishing.
