🔱 Design as if magic once existed… and left behind physical traces.
This project imagines a forgotten artifact discovered in an ancient workshop — something that blurs the line between mysticism and physics.
At the center sits Lord Shiva, suspended in perfect stillness above a stone. In Hindu philosophy, Shiva represents the cosmic balance of creation and destruction, the rhythm of the universe itself. Hinduism is a religion older than recorded history, filled with ideas about energy, consciousness, and the hidden forces that shape reality.
This design asks a simple question:
What if ancient civilizations already understood forces we are only beginning to explain today?
The rock anchors the earthly realm.
The pillars and strings hint at a mechanical system — an instrument built to study unseen energies.
And Shiva appears to float effortlessly, as if gravity itself has been momentarily forgotten.
It feels like a relic recovered from a dusty archive… a mysterious device whose true purpose may never be fully understood.
Was it magic?
Or was it simply knowledge lost to time?
🌌 This piece celebrates curiosity, discovery, and the timeless connection between spirituality and science.
⚙️Build Notes
⚠️ Magnet configuration is critical for levitation.
You will need:
• 4 × 45×8 mm magnets inside the rock base
• 21 × 10×3 mm magnets inside the Lord Shiva (added weight is deflected by 4 Heavies)
The polarity and positioning must be carefully aligned for the levitation balance to work properly.
🧵 String Alignment
Please take extra care while setting the four strings.
They are essential for stabilizing the floating platform. The tension should be balanced evenly from all four columns to keep Shiva perfectly centered above the rock.
Small adjustments may be needed during setup.
