Description

The one ring, need I say more?

Hang on the wall or just put it on a table. The ring is a whole 160mm in diameter!

I printed with Bambu PLA silk - Gold.

Mt doom stand!

For v2 there is now a mt doom stand (works for v1 also)! Print in translucent petg if you want it to shine. I have animated my new mega sized ring.

Mega sized ring: https://makerworld.com/en/models/533264#profileId-450094

Comparison:

Current version 2.0 - Now better shine!

Warning, the new back plate is much more secured when inserted. Make sure led is installed before closing.

The assembly is easy, just take about 50cm led strip and put it in the ring, like this:

Or alternative slide it in above the internal “bride”, this way you can get two loops for more light.

Holder remix

If you want a stand take a look at this remix: https://makerworld.com/en/models/467240#profileId-376287

Revisions:

v 2.0

Total redesign of the inner space of the ring and the back plate. The led strip is now held in place which gives a more uniform shine. Slightly bigger radius on the top of the ring.

The back plate also snaps to the ring better, DON'T PUT ON UNTIL LED IS INSERTED.

v 1.1

  • Added a optional back plate that snaps in place. Use the chord for hanging on wall, or drill a hole for a nail (or use bambu studio and add a hole)

Great model! Printed in gold silk PLA and attached to a carved wooden board. The small "button" below is a SR-602 PIR sensor which activates the light glow for a minute when motion is detected.

how does yours look red and glowing if its gold silk? Is it a red or orange light inside?

Sorry for the very late response.. As leds I have addressable ws2812 rgb leds that are set to color RED: 96, GREEN 128, BLUE 128 to achieve desired color. The filament boosts red colors so I had to reduce it a bit. The leds are controlled with an Arduino, because the lamp has fade effects when turning on and off.

Printed it on my P1S with gold mate PLA and it worked really well. The background is a page from the Fellowship where I added a parchment-like texture. The frame is a 2$ frame I got from a thrift shop and that I sanded, spray painted in black after a coat of a "rock-like" texture. I built a gift for a friend and they really liked it!

The rendering is incredible! Do you have a Hueforge-style model for the back panel?

Hey man, sad to hear :( But, at a quick glance I can se you have sliced it yourself. For one, you should absolutely not use support and I can see both have internal support! Second, did you properly dry your filament? Third, weird accusation when there is so many others pictures with successful prints. Recommending, dry your filament! Slow down print speed, don't use supports.

Have you ever tried cleaning your plate between prints!? You clearly need some guidance in what you're doing. lol

thanks. a cob led strip. led’s are a bit more dense so it looks like a single source of light. https://a.co/d/6l038NZ

printed out nicely. use the biqu frostbite plate with no adhesion or support issue. only one I could find is the middle where the two circles connect shown in picture, is there a way to fix this so it looks more integrated/one single piece.

no, sorry. that's the z seam. You can try to use "random" or calibrate the filaments retraction.
