Bee Frame Holder
This is a simple and practical bee frame holder designed for use during hive inspections or honey harvesting.
The holder attaches to the side of the hive using a 20 mm wide hook, allowing you to safely place removed frames while working. It can hold up to 5 standard beehive frames, each approximately 3 cm thick.
The usable frame support length is 160 mm, providing enough space to keep frames stable and organized. A small end hook prevents the frames from sliding off the holder.
The design uses a triangular reinforcement structure to keep the holder lightweight while maintaining good strength.
The model was printed with 45% infill to ensure durability and strength. In this configuration it can support at least 10 kg, which is more than enough for normal beekeeping work.
Printing recommendations
- Material: PLA works well for general use
- For outdoor or long-term exposure, ABS, PETG or ASA are recommended
- Infill: ~45% for maximum strength (can be reduced if needed)
This tool keeps frames clean, prevents them from being placed on the ground, and makes hive inspections more comfortable.
