Description
Bruma is a 3D-printed table lamp defined by soft volumes and a calm, diffused glow.
The ribbed shade and internal diffuser work together to create a warm and atmospheric light, enhancing the sculptural presence of the form without overpowering the space.
Designed as a compact decorative table lamp, Bruma fits naturally on desks, bedside tables, shelves, living spaces or studios, bringing balanced ambient lighting to contemporary interiors.
✨ Design Concept
Bruma explores clarity of volume and controlled light diffusion.
The lamp is composed of four main parts:
- A four-leg base
- A separate lamp holder that screws into the base
- A ribbed volumetric lampshade
- An internal diffuser insert that softens and adjusts the light tone
The ribbed geometry improves light diffusion while maintaining a refined and graphic surface texture. By combining opaque and translucent filaments, you can achieve subtle tonal variations and a gentle ambient glow.

⚠️ Do not use incandescent or halogen bulbs — heat may deform the printed parts.

🧵 Printing Recommendations
Suggested materials:
- PLA (opaque or translucent)
- PETG (opaque or translucent)
Tips:
- Translucent or light-colored filaments enhance the soft glow
- Print the shade in translucent filament for best diffusion
- Use a lightly colored translucent filament for the diffuser to subtly warm or cool the light
⚠️ Important fit note:
Please do not modify scale, wall thickness, tolerances, or other print parameters for the lampshade and diffuser. Changing these settings may affect the bayonet fit and compatibility with the base.
Layer height, wall thickness and infill can be adjusted for the base parts depending on the desired strength and surface quality.
🛠️ Assembly
Assembly is simple and tool-free:
- Screw the lamp holder (E14 or E27) into the tripod base
- Insert the LED bulb
- Mount the lampshade using the bayonet twist-lock system (handle gently, as the part is thin to improve light transmission)
- Insert the internal diffuser using the bayonet twist-lock system

- Experiment with neutral or tone-on-tone color combinations
- Swap diffusers to subtly adjust light temperature
- Mix opaque and translucent filaments for different visual densities
- Finish or paint the base for a personalized touch
