Description

This is a modular accessory system designed specifically for the Svbony MK105 Maksutov telescope.

The system is built around a base mount installed on the telescope tube, with interchangeable threaded accessories.

1️⃣ Base Mount (Core Component)

  • Slides onto the telescope tube
  • Features a shaped dovetail stop to prevent slipping and rotation
  • Reduces vibration
  • Provides a threaded interface for accessories

The mechanical stop ensures the base does not shift or rotate even when the telescope is tilted.

2️⃣ Bahtinov Mask

  • Threaded attachment to the base
  • Stable and precise focusing
  • No rubber bands, tape, or temporary solutions required
  • Quick installation and removal

3️⃣ Solar Filter Holder

  • Threaded attachment
  • No risk of slipping or rotating
  • Secure and stable mounting
  • Compatible with my Newton 130 solar filter model

The deep cylindrical seating helps prevent accidental detachment.

4️⃣ Protective Cap

  • Threaded connection to the base
  • Protects the front optics from dust and debris
  • Secure fit without falling off
  • Can remain installed when no other accessory is mounted

Designed for transport and storage protection.

⚠️ IMPORTANT – Solar Observation Safety

Observing the Sun without a certified solar filter is extremely dangerous and can cause permanent eye damage.

  • Never point the telescope at the Sun without a proper front-mounted solar filter
  • Always inspect the filter material for damage before use
  • Do not use if the filter is scratched, torn, or loose
  • Ensure the filter holder is fully secured before solar observation

The author assumes no responsibility for improper or unsafe use.

Printing Recommendations

  • Material: PETG or PLA+
