Description
Shrouded Sky, the latest update of ARC Raiders was released this week, and boy have I been burned to a crisp š¤£
One of the new ARC enemies is the Firefly. A drone like ARC that has a mean flamethrower (ow, and also spread its flames when you manage to kill it š ).
Fan of ARC Raiders? Check out this collection.
After designing the model and adding a standard base, my husband suggested adding a flame-base, holding the miniature ARC in the air with a pile of flames.
After designing the flame base, he challanged me to add elektronics into it.
So I did!
With a magnet triggerd LED in the translucent flame base, and a magnet hidden into a synthesized Fuel cannister, you can turn the flames of the Firefly on with an easy swipe. That way you can bring that nice burning feeling straight onto your desk ā¤ļøš„
There are a few versions of the base and Firefly. Chose the one you like š„°
- Firefly for straight base (the flamethrower is straight so the normal base fits easily into it)
- Firefly for flame base (the flame base is inserted into the flamethrower nozzle)
Both have a single color and multi color version. I only digitally painted certain parts, because the full colored version would be a 22 hours printā¦
Different fireflies mean there are 2 different bases, but in different modifications:
- Flame base for LED (2 parts, clicking together, making it possible to change the battery of the LED at any time).
- Flame base with seperate oval disc to glue on (in case you want to make that part transparant)
- Flame base with oval disc already on it (if you just want to print it in 1 full (translucent) red/orange part

LED
The base has a spot to put in a LED. The LED is triggerd by a magnet, hidden into a synthesized Fuel.
The LED has 4 stances: on, fast flickering, slow flickering, off.
By swiping the bottom of the fuel (wich holds the magnet) at the bottom of the base, the LED activates.
The fuel can be printed in 2 parts and glued together so the top part can be bronze and the rest of the canister red - just like ingame!
The Fuel has 3 variants:
- Single color full fuel (1 color print, 1 item)
- Two part fuel on 1 plate (print by object)
- Two part fuel on 2 different plates
I used bronze for the top part, red for the bottom part.
Ā

Asembly:
Put the batteries in the led, put the led into the middle round opening of the base, with the light facing in the base.

Click the oval base on it, facing the smallest part of the oval towards the end of the flame base. So the biggest part of the oval is facing the Firefly.

Insert fire base into the flamethrower opening of the model

Not using the print profile?
The model is printed in 0.08 quality, the base at 0.16.
The model, fluel canister and flame base need supports.
The normale base does not.
