Parametric Pipe or Circular Duct Cover/Vent
Print Profile(1)

Description
This SCAD generates covers, vents, and end caps for pipes and ducts (or anything circular) . It uses a parametric system to adjust fitment based on the specific diameter of the pipe/duct, allowing the sleeve to sit either inside the pipe or over the outer diameter and mont via the faceplate or directly to the pipe. You can also change the outer brim shape to be round, square, or various polygons (hexagon, octagon, etc.) to fit the mounting surface and from from several styles:
- Vent & Rings: Traditional concentric circles look or slats with adjustable angle to direct air.
- Mesh Patterns: Honeycomb, diamond, or perforated hole grids.
- Solid Cap: A completely sealed surface for closing off pipes.
Features:
- Six Cover Styles: Louvered Vents, Concentric Rings, Honeycomb Mesh, Diamond Mesh, Perforated Holes, or a Solid End Cap.
- Face Plate Shapes: The outer flange can be Round, Square, Hexagon, Octagon, Nonagon, or Decagon.
- Fitment: Fit either INSIDE the pipe or OVER the pipe.
- Dual Mounting Hole Systems:
- Face Plate Holes: Evenly spaced holes around the brim with support for M-series/Imperial countersinks or counterbores.
- Side Sleeve Holes: Perpendicular screw holes located on the sleeve wall to pin the cover directly to the pipe.
- Friction-Fit Option : Includes adjustable sleeve depth, wall thickness, and a specific taper parameter to ensure a tight fit without adhesive or fasteners.
- Insertion Chamfer: A customizable lead-in on the sleeve tip to make it easier to press onto or into pipes.
- Directional Airflow: Louvered effect via adjustable angles for Vent Slats (let me know if you want that for Concentric Rings)
