Description

At almost 8 feet long and just under 8 pounds, this one is a beast!!  I used the basic shape of the in game model and added all the texture and wear marks myself.

I printed entirely out of SUNLU black PETG, assembling with a 71 inch piece of #4 (½") fiberglass rebar, two fiberglass driveway reflectors (Everbilt 72 in. Orange Reflective Driveway Marker 31674 - The Home Depot), and CA super glue!  I recommend building from the pommel up, assembling once without glue to verify that the texture of the blade lines up properly. Just insert the rods into their slots in the pommel and then add one piece at a time - I do not recommend picking the sword up fully until everything is glued, as the weight of all the upper pieces pushing on the rods can cause them to punch through the bottom of the pommel if it is left unsupported.

The photos were taken before the pieces were glued together as I shipped this one to a friend across the country. The sword is heavy, but not unbearably so, especially given its size - and it is built to handle being carried and moved around, though it won't stand up to hitting anything with more than gentle force - remember that with something this long, the speed at the end of the blade from a relatively small motion at the hilt is very great!

It will be very difficult/impossible to completely remove the supports from between the textured scale pattern at the point where the blade meets the hilt - this was not really visible from a distance and doesn't bother me, but I want to make that clear.
