Description
This is a shelf for the Wera Kraftform Compact for a metal pegboard with 25mm hole spacing.
It fits my Parkside Performance metal pegboard.
Inner dimension is: 87x170mm
The shelf with holder is designed to be printed without supports.
The example is printed in Bambulab PLA Matte Black.
Superglue and 6x2mm round magnets are additionally required.
Magnets are highly recommended so that the shelf does not disengage from the wall if bumped from below.
With magnets, it slides back into the hooks by itself.
Assembly: (numbers match the picture)
- insert the hooks with the longer tip upwards into the recess (4x)
- use a small flat screwdriver and push the hook all the way into the recess (4x)
- add a small drop of superglue into the round recess (2x)
- place the round magnet into the recess (2x) and press firmly for a moment.
Now the shelf is ready!
The real work is in the holding mechanism. My goal was to have something that could be printed regardless of its orientation.
No supports are needed either. Thus, the negative shape of the recess is quite universal for many holders.
But there are also disadvantages:
These small hooks are only suitable for lighter weights, up to (I guess) 10cm from the wall.
I once tried it with a holder for 3 filament spools with 8 hooks. That was too much for it.
