Description

UPDATE 1: Widened the stand stem to reduce wobbliness and thickened the connector for a more tight fit, all based on received feedback. Any further feedbak is very welcomed!

 

UPDATE 2: Adjusted connector pin tolerances!

 

UPDATE 3: Made a cutout in order to be able to place the tablet on the stand with the cable already connected and avoid connecting after placement.

 

No supports needed to print this model! No tools needed for assembly!

 

Assembly: Connect the part of the “L” pin that has rounded side edges to the base (leg) and the tablet holder part to the non-rounded part of the “L” pin. This assembly is required in order to print everything without any supports which makes for faster and less wasteful printing experience.

 

iPad/Tablet stand that can be used alongside a computer monitor, or by itself! I made this to use my ipad in external monitor mode with my mac mini.

This model allows for all kinds of tablets to be used, though i only tested it with a 12.9 inch and 9.7 inch ipad pros and allows passthrough of the charging cable at the bottom.

Since i made this model to be as compatible as possible with as many tablets as possible, the stand allows for 9mm thick tablets (or tablets with thinner covers installed) and features a v slot at the bottom to make swipe up gestures and home button presses easier.

The stand is slightly tilted backwards and the tilt is fixed.

 

Recommended infill: 20%-30% or more (more infill, more stability and durability).

 

Note: This is my first ever model to be published anywhere on the internet! I'm not an expert in cad modelling, but this is the best model i have ever made! I would love to hear some feedback!
