Description

I was inspired by the “Mattel – Buzz Lightyear 6WD toy” and when looking for the model online I ran across the “McDonald’s 2022 Happy Meal Toy Lightyear #6 Darby Driving the Star Command Truck”, which can be found on Ebay for $3.00 to $8.00. Once I got one, I decided it could make for a cheap 28mm/40K style vehicle.

For the Cargo Boxes you will need to cut the back of the model to add, I used a 2 10mmx3mm magnets so they are replaceable. There is a part that needs to be glued to the bottom of the cargo box to hold the magnet, the other part with a magnet goes in the vehicle between the wheel wells.

To put the forward crew section it will require the removal of “Darby” from the vehicle, this is through brute force using plyers.

The Plows and Bumpers attach to the vehicle using the forward and rear attachment points. These snap into place with no glue and once in allow you to attach the parts to the front and back as needed.

If you want to remove the tires for painting use the “Panel Clip Pliers” I listed below, it will take a lot of force and the tires can shoot off and hit you in the face, so take some caution doing this. There is a pattern to help paint the center of the tires once they are removed.
