TBS Source One V6 - Motor Protection
Print Profile(1)

Description
Designed for TBS Source One V6 (Mid / Long Range Builds)
Engineered and flight-tested by LowFly 3D, this component is specifically designed for the TBS Source One V6 platform in mid and long range configurations.
Every part is developed through real flight experience and crash testing to deliver the best balance between:
- 🪶 Lightweight design
- 🛡️ Impact resistance
- 📡 Functional optimization for DJI O4 Pro setups
- ⚙️ Clean and simple installation
These are not decorative parts — they are performance-driven components built for pilots.
🧠 Dual-Density Structural Concept
The model includes two distinct internal zones:
- Impact Reinforced Zone (Front Area)
A dedicated modifier increases infill density in the section most exposed to crashes and frontal impacts. - Standard Structural Zone (Main Body)
The remaining area uses a lighter infill structure to reduce unnecessary weight while maintaining flexibility.
⚙️ Recommended Infill Settings
- Main body (standard infill): 20%
- Reinforced front modifier area: 30–35%
⚠️ Important note:
In TPU, densities equal to or above 75% behave almost like 100% infill in terms of rigidity and weight.
For this reason, there is no practical advantage in pushing infill beyond 35–40% for this type of component.
Higher densities:
- Increase weight significantly
- Reduce TPU energy absorption
- Do not proportionally improve crash resistance
The suggested 20% + 30/35% configuration provides the optimal balance between:
- 🪶 Lightweight performance
- 🛡 Impact absorption
- 🔄 Controlled flex under stress
- ⚡ Structural durability
Designed to absorb impacts where it matters most — without turning your build into unnecessary dead weight.
🧪 MANDATORY PRINTING REQUIREMENTS
⚠️ IMPORTANT – Follow these instructions strictly
Recommended material:
- High-quality TPU 95A
- Filament must be properly dried
Filament humidity:
- Must be between 10% and 15%
- If higher, dry the filament before printing
General recommended settings:
- 3 perimeters minimum
- infill variable
- Moderate printing speed
- Properly calibrated TPU retraction
- Adequate cooling for layer bonding
📌 Do NOT change the model orientation.
Print exactly as shown in the render images.
The orientation is intentionally designed to:
- Maximize layer strength
- Improve impact resistance
- Prevent structural weak points
- Maintain dimensional accuracy
Changing the orientation may compromise the print.
🛠️ LowFly Philosophy
These are not just STL files.
They are pilot-designed performance parts created for:
- Real flight use
- Real crashes
- Lightweight builds
- Clean aesthetics
- Long range reliability
Designed by a pilot. Tested in the field.
Built for serious FPV performance.
