A simple and effective swatch model to test the transparency and light transmission of your filaments. Perfect for testing materials before printing lithophanes, lampshades, LED diffusers, or simply for cataloging your filament collection.
Model Features:
- 1 to 10 Layers Gradient: The model is designed as a step-wedge, starting from a single layer up to 10 layers, allowing you to clearly see how the filament blocks light as thickness increases.
- Multiple Layer Heights: The print profiles/files are optimized for three different layer heights to match your project needs:
- 0.08 mm (Great for highly detailed lithophanes)
- 0.12 mm (Standard fine detail)
- 0.20 mm (Standard structural prints)
- Fast & Material Saving: Prints very quickly and uses a minimal amount of filament (~3g).
How to use: Simply print the model in the material you want to test and hold it up against a light source (window, LED light, etc.) to evaluate its translucency at different thicknesses.
⚠️ 🚨 🚩 ‼️ Important! ⚠️ 🚨 🚩 ‼️
First layer height MUST BE the same as all layer heights, DO NOT use default 0.2mm first layer - it's not make sense ;)
0.08 and 0.12mm on first layer may cause a clog!
For TPU, CF materials, wood, itp use 0.2mm layer ONLY.
Simple materials like PLA or PETG are safe
