I am young and need the boost ;) lol
Large cartoon-style Cosplay helmet, matching the small, round guy with the striped sweater from children's television – and his tall, yellow-headed buddy. Ideal for carnival, birthdays, or Halloween.
The helmet consists of 3 individual parts and can be printed as a single-color version or multi-color with AMS (AMS version currently untested).
A cutout is provided at the back so that rubber bands or straps can be glued on (e.g., simple elastic bands from sewing supplies). This makes it easier to put on the helmet and push the head through the lower opening.
The helmet is designed so that the entire head fits inside.
Variant 1 is what I currently use: I put padding at the top inside and look with my eyes through the mouth. If you want to wear it comfortably on your shoulders, it's better to drill your own eyeholes and insert grilles; that would be Variant 2, that's how it would be designed!
For wearing comfort, I recommend:
- A head ring / padding at the top of the helmet (e.g., an old sweater, foam) so that the helmet sits stably and doesn't wobble. You need to adjust the thickness to your head size.
- Additional padding below the mouth so that your real nose doesn't hit the pressure edge (this is not needed if you choose variant 2!).
I printed the helmet in PETG with a fuzzy skin surface to simulate the fabric look of the original head. However, it can also be printed in PLA.
The wall thickness is approx. 4 mm. If you need more space at the top and are printing the No-AMS version, you can simply cut out the very thin base inside!!!!!
ATTENTION: There's a small gimmick for adults or Halloween:
The right eye is separate in the model, not fused with the head. It is printed along with the model and can be glued on for a clean fixation. If desired, the eye can be removed to convert the helmet into a one-eyed zombie or horror character.
⚠️ Note / Safety:
The helmet is a Cosplay fun item, not a protective helmet. Please ensure you have sufficient vision and breathing (own eyeholes, grilles, good ventilation). Use always at your own risk.
The helmet is designed large enough for normal adult heads to fit inside
; for children, you can scale (reduce) the model accordingly in the slicer.
I look forward to photos of your builds – especially the eye variant or Halloween zombie version!
