Description
I wanted to create something unique for our garage, and since we are all BMW enthusiasts, I decided on the E30 front
The model is approximately 73 x 23 cm after assembly
In the print profiles, you will find 2 models: a light, faster version and a slightly slower but significantly more stable version
Personally, I prefer the heavier version, as it simply feels more premium
For assembly, simply sand the back slightly and then glue it together with PLA superglue
Afterwards, a total of 4 COB-LED strips are needed (Aliexpress COB-LED):
I always used the 2 x 0.5m rolls, as this saves some wiring work
The LED strips must be inserted through the hole from behind and then glued into the headlights
This needs to be done once on both sides
Afterwards, I personally always taped the backs shut with duct tape so that the cables cannot move around
To have the two laid cables run into a single power outlet, I used the following:
(Aliexpress USB 2in1 Converter)
If a longer cable is desired, you can simply order a USB to USB extension and attach it
Then plug it into a socket and the wonderful project is complete
